White Breasted Nuthatch Watercolor Sketch

Occasionally my bird feeder gets a visit from White Breasted nuthatches but they stay only long enough to take one sunflower seed and then fly off with it into the trees so it's not that easy to get a good look at them.

 Nuthatches are similar to Black Capped chickadees in appearance except that they have a long upturned beak. Another thing that is sets nuthatches apart is that they are often seen climbing up and down trees trunks.
