| Watercolor Chihuahua Portrait |
Chihuahuas may be small and look oh so cute but they are yappy and hyper dogs, I know, I have one. Okay to be fair some are actually quiet and calm, but mine's not one of them.
I'm experimenting painting watercolor pet portraits in a fast and loose style.They are composed in landscape orientation with some cropping of the pet. The background I make by letting two colors mix right on the watercolor paper. In this portrait I used ultramarine blue and a bright yellow. I took such a liking to painting in this way that now I'm contemplating doing some wildlife paintings in this style.
